It seems that Egyptian striker Mohamed Salah will continue with the English team Liverpool next season, as Paul Joyce, a journalist specializing in covering Liverpool news, confirmed that there is no indication that the Egyptian star will leave the club this summer amid Saudi interest in the player.
On Monday, Liverpool announced the appointment of Dutch coach Arne Slot as technical director of the club’s football team, replacing the late Jurgen Klopp, on a three-year contract, as the Dutch coach is keen to keep the Egyptian star.
Press sources told the British newspaper The Telegraph that Liverpool considers renewing Mohamed Salah’s contract with Van Dijk and Arnold a priority now, as the players’ contracts expire at the end of next season.
For his part, Mohamed Salah tweeted on the “X” platform, confirming his continuation with the team, saying, “We know that titles are the most important and we will do everything in our power to achieve that next season. Our fans deserve it and we will fight with all our strength.”
It is noteworthy that Liverpool club rejected an official offer from the Saudi club Al-Ittihad last summer to buy the Egyptian star, as the offer reached 200 million pounds sterling on the last day of the transfer market, according to sources from “The Athletic” network.
