Barcelona will not activate the 30 million euro buyback option for the former jewel of La Masia

Former FC Barcelona prodigy midfielder Nico González is having a spectacular season at FC Porto.

Interest from Liverpool has recently been reported, while Aston Villa are also reportedly interested in the player, although no firm offers have been made so far.

If either of the two clubs matched the termination clause of 60 million euros for Nico, Barça would earn 24 million euros for the operation.
