Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife, actress-choreographer Dhanashree Verma, have once again found themselves at the center of divorce rumours. The speculation began after the couple unfollowed each other on Instagram, and Yuzvendra went a step further by deleting all his photos with Dhanashree.
Dhanashree, on the other hand, still has pictures with Yuzvendra on her profile, but her social media activity has fueled rumors of trouble in paradise. Sources close to the couple have confirmed Indian Times that the divorce rumors are true.
“Divorce is inevitable and it is only a matter of time before it becomes official. The exact reasons for their separation are not yet known, but it is clear that the couple has decided to move forward with their lives separately,” the source revealed.
The rumor mill
Speculation about the couple’s relationship status began in 2023 when Dhanashree removed ‘Chahal’ from her name on Instagram. To add fuel to the fire, Yuzvendra posted a cryptic story on Instagram around the same time saying, “New life loading.”
While the couple dismissed the rumors back then, their recent actions on social media have put them back in the spotlight.
Yuzvendra Chahal’s denial
During the first wave of rumors, Yuzvendra took to social media to set the record straight, urging fans not to believe or spread misinformation about their relationship.
“I humbly request everyone not to believe or spread rumors about our relationship. Please don’t believe those stories. “They are fake,” he wrote.
However, recent events have reignited discussions, with fans and media alike wondering if the couple is headed towards a formal split.
A love story that began with dance
Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma got married on December 11, 2020 in a ceremony attended by family and close friends. Their love story began during the COVID-19 lockdown, when cricketers were stuck at home with no matches to play.
Dhanashree spoke about their first meeting during her appearance on Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 11.
“During the lockdown, no matches were held and all the cricketers were at home. Yuzi decided one day that she wanted to learn to dance. He had seen my dance videos on social media and I was teaching dance at the time. He approached me to be his student and I accepted,” he said.

Their shared love of dancing and their fun videos on social media made them one of the most beloved celebrity couples in the country.
News of their possible split has left fans heartbroken, with many taking to social media to express their disbelief. Some are still waiting for the couple to work things out, while others have accepted that this could be the end of their journey together.
