The Barcelona defender valued at 20 million euros attracts interest from the Premier League and Serie A

With the January transfer market open, FC Barcelona does not rule out the occasional important sale to finance new signings.

One of the players for whom offers will be heard this month is defender Andreas Christensen, who returned to the squad today after four months out due to an injury.

The Dane has only played one game this season, playing just 26 minutes, after being out since August.

With Pau Cubarsi and Íñigo Martínez cementing their place at centre-back and Ronald Araujo also returning from injury, Christensen’s future has been thrown into uncertainty, even more so with his contract expiring in 2026.

Several Premier League clubs interested, Juventus is also interested

In the midst of all this, Sports World It is now reported that Christensen is attracting interest from several Premier League clubs and Serie A side Juventus in the current January window.

Juve are looking for defensive reinforcements following injuries to Gleison Bremer and Cabal, while coach Thiago Motta has exiled Danilo.

As reported some time ago, the bianconeros They are considering a loan deal for Barça captain Ronald Araujo, but the possibility of such a deal going through is highly unlikely.

For this reason, they have Araujo’s partner, Christensen, as a possible alternative for January given the Dane’s current situation.

Meanwhile, a number of Premier League clubs are also understood to be interested in the 28-year-old, given the reputation he earned in England during his time at Chelsea.

It remains to be seen whether the aforementioned interest from Juventus and Premier League clubs translates into a formal offer and, if so, how Barcelona responds.
