Barcelona recently received a huge boost when La Liga granted them a return to the 1:1 rule, meaning the club can now operate normally in the market.
However, despite returning to the 1:1 rule, Barcelona are still not in a position to register Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor.
Barcelona’s only recourse, therefore, is to seek a legal avenue to register these two players, but the club has faced rejections in its last two attempts.
Barcelona prepares for another legal battle
As reported by SPORT, Barcelona is on the verge of another judicial confrontation to obtain the registration of Olmo and Víctor.
Despite submitting all required documentation, including proof of a €60 million payment, La Liga has denied approval, stating that players, once released, cannot play for Barcelona this season.
This disagreement has now been passed to the RFEF, which must decide whether the current regulations allow the re-registration of Olmo and Víctor.
Barcelona defends ‘Force Majeure‘, alleging reasons that prevented them from submitting the documents on time, and questions the deadline of December 31, proposing that January be considered for such registrations.
The RFEF, fearful of future legal challenges from other La Liga clubs, has been cautious in its approach, although there is an underlying recognition that the situation could be unfair.
Barcelona are prepared to take legal action on Tuesday. They plan to request a precautionary measure from the Higher Sports Council (CSD), which would force both the RFEF and La Liga to comply.
This legal step is considered vital to protect the rights of the club and the players against what Barcelona considers an unfair application of the rules.
