Prasidh Krishna replaced Akash Deep
Akash Deep has been replaced by right-arm pacer Prasidh Krishna. Prasidh Krishna’s Test career is quite young. He has only played 2 matches and has taken only 2 wickets. Krishna will have to take Akash Deep’s place in this must-win match for India. India had the option of picking Harshit Rana, who previously featured in the first two Tests, but opted to pick Krishna for this one.
India is currently 1-2 in this series. A victory in Sydney would keep them in the fight for the WTC final. However, they will have to rely on the results of Australia’s matches against Sri Lanka. However, if India loses or draws here, it will be out of the race for the WTC final.
