The three wishes of Barcelona president Joan Laporta for 2025

The year 2024 ends on a busy note for FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta, who is fighting to secure the registrations of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor in La Liga on December 31.

It has been an uneven year for Laporta and Barça, taking into account that the men’s team did not win any title except the Feminine The team continued to make history, while the men’s handball team also tasted success.

But as we approach the New Year, club president Laporta has revealed his three wishes for 2025 in a chat with SPORT.

Laporta’s three wishes

The first wish of the president of Barcelona has been expressed repeatedly in his speeches. Laporta wants the unity of the Barça fans to facilitate the achievement of the club’s objectives for next year.

“I hope that all the Barcelona fans feel proud of all their athletes and that they remain united” said Laporta.

The president knows that union is the best way to achieve the club’s objectives and in many of his speeches he has stressed the need to meeting unite against external enemies.

Laporta’s second wish for 2025 refers to the Spotify Camp Nou and the return of the first team to the sacred turf.

“I wish the team returns to the Spotify Camp Nou, which is the collective dream of all Barcelona fans” said.

The Barcelona president hoped this would happen in 2024, and for the first team to return to play in the iconic stadium in November, coinciding with the club’s 125th anniversary.

However, this was not possible, but Laporta remains hopeful that the team, led by Hansi Flick, will return in 2025. While an exact date has not been set, the board does not rule out a return in February or March.

Laporta’s third wish has nothing to do with the club or the sport, but with the floods that affected Valencia this year.

“I wish that aid and normality will return to all those affected by DANA” said Laporta.

Both Barcelona and Laporta himself have participated in providing aid to those affected by the devastating floods that hit the Valencian Community at the end of October and caused more than 220 deaths.
