After weeks of uncertainty, it seems there is finally some respite for Barcelona fans, as the club appears to be on track to register their new signings, Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor.
And Barça is about to reach an agreement with a Saudi fund for the sale of VIP boxes at the Spotify Camp Nou, which could mean an entry of more than 100 million euros.
Laporta offers Flick a status update
According to Diario SPORT, Joan Laporta, who facilitated the operation from Dubai, has informed Barcelona coach Hansi Flick about the club’s situation.
The German has been informed of Barcelona’s updated financial situation, with Laporta being clear that Barça will be able to operate in the transfer market at full capacity starting next summer.
That is, as long as La Liga gives the green light to the agreement with the Saudi fund.
The agreement will also allow Barcelona to register their summer signings, Olmo and Víctor. The club, however, is also waiting for other ways to register these players.
The Catalans have appealed in particular to obtain precautionary measures before another court, the result of which will be known in the next few hours.
If Barcelona receives another rejection from the court, the club may have no choice but to wait for approval from La Liga and activate the deal with the Saudi fund.
Otherwise, Barça may choose to wait a bit and perhaps even find other suitors. After all, the club expected an income of 200 million euros from the sale of VIP boxes at Spotify Camp Nou.
The next few hours, therefore, would be critical and could shape Barcelona’s economic policies.
Meanwhile, Flick has already been looking at some options in the transfer market, with Thomas Partey and Reinildo notably emerging as summer targets.
