After Barcelona’s tireless efforts, they finally received the green light to register Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor this week as the Higher Sports Council (CSD) granted them the precautionary measure that allows the players to be re-registered temporarily.
The decision was met with derision from La Liga, with association president Javier Tebas criticizing the move after the league and RFEF rejected the club’s attempts to register the duo.
Now, several other La Liga clubs have come forward and expressed their displeasure with the resolution, expressing concern about the integrity of the competition.
The League will appeal
Now, Sports World informs that La Liga will appeal the precautionary measure issued by the CSD in favor of Barcelona before the Administrative Litigation Court.
The League implemented provisional registration yesterday, a step that is taken independently of the broader actions it is preparing in response to the CSD decision.
In its statement, La Liga announced plans to “carefully examine the resolution to determine the appropriate resources.”
Consequently, La Liga will now present an appeal before the Administrative Litigation Court to annul the precautionary measure.
This appeal is independent of the arguments that LaLiga intends to put forward against the highest-level appeal presented by FC Barcelona last Tuesday and which was sent yesterday to LaLiga by the CSD.
Meanwhile, the final resolution of Barcelona’s appeal is still pending.
The CSD has up to three months to decide. If the body confirms the registration of the two Barça players, La Liga could present another challenge before the same administrative court.
As mentioned above, the entire episode has generated controversy in the Spanish top flight. Several La Liga clubs such as Athletic Club, Las Palmas, Real Valladolid and Atlético de Madrid have expressed their concerns in this regard through official statements.
