Fati the hopeful

Even though the situation is as it is, Sports World reports that Ansu Fati is hoping to gain more playing time under Hansi Flick as the team looks ahead to 2025.

After recovering from a hamstring injury that kept him out for more than a month, he was called up for Barcelona’s 1-2 defeat against Atlético de Madrid, although he did not play a single minute.

With Lamine Yamal’s injury, Barça’s number 10 could have more opportunities than he has had so far in the early parts of 2025.

Since returning to Barcelona this season, Fati has only played 158 minutes and has not scored or assisted any goals.

But the next period, in which Yamal will be unavailable, could be the perfect opportunity to show Flick that he deserves more consideration as a striker in a team that is currently the highest scoring team in La Liga (50 goals) and the Champions League. (21 goals).

As reported today, Fati has requested to continue training over the Christmas break, indicating his desire to be in top physical condition, become a more viable attacking option for Barcelona and put the problems of recent seasons behind him.
