A recent report by Sergio Fernández, shared through FCB World, highlights that the Supreme Council’s decision on the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor will take five days to arrive.
However, this deadline means that even if Barcelona advances to the Spanish Super Cup final, Olmo and Víctor will not be able to play.
Barcelona has already taken action by approaching the Higher Sports Council, hoping to find a legal loophole that would allow the registration of both players.
This effort included the submission of a detailed 52-page document, accompanied by more than 60 attachments, to state their case.
The club’s goal is to ensure that Olmo and Víctor can be included in the Saudi Arabian Super Cup, promoting what they call a “precautionary measure.”
Great challenge for Barcelona
Despite their efforts, time constraints pose a significant challenge. Without presenting new facts or evidence not previously included in the original file, Barcelona may dismiss your case.
Normally, under the administrative procedure law, a response period of ten days is allowed for objections. However, for urgent cases, this period is reduced to five days.
The process depends on whether the Council chooses to allow objections, which is normally expected.
Problems for Barcelona
It should be noted that Olmo has traveled to Saudi Arabia with the team. Some interpret this as a pressure tactic, while others see it as an attempt to keep the player involved in team activities and training.
Realistically, the chances of him participating in any Spanish Super Cup match seem slim. His involvement in the remainder of the season with Barcelona also remains uncertain until a clear decision is made.
For now, the situation underlines Barcelona’s ongoing battle with regulatory hurdles, as they continue to push for a solution for Olmo and Victor’s inclusion in the team. It remains to be seen if his perseverance pays off.
