The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on July 16, 2021 in Mumbai. On January 4, Dube took to Instagram with a sweet post to announce the arrival of his little one.
“Complete family,” says Shivam Dube
The 31-year-old cricketer expressed his joy with a heartfelt caption. He wrote: “01.03.2025. It’s a girl. Our hearts simply grew bigger as we became a family of 4. Welcome Mehwish Shivam Dube. #completefamily.” The post quickly garnered love and good wishes from fans and other cricketers alike.
The couple’s first child, Ayaan Dube, was born on February 13, 2022. With the arrival of their baby girl, the family has now grown to four members, completing their happiness.
A busy cricket season for Dube
Even with the excitement of welcoming his baby, Shivam Dube hasn’t taken a break from cricket. The all-rounder is currently representing Mumbai in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25. So far, he has made solid contributions – scoring 80 runs and taking one wicket in three matches.
Earlier this season, Dube was a key figure in Mumbai’s triumphant Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy campaign. He played five matches and accumulated 151 runs at an impressive average of 75.50. One of his standout performances was an unbeaten 71 against Services.
A stable international career
Shivam Dube made his international debut in a T20I against Bangladesh in November 2019. Since then, he has become a valuable asset for the Indian team, especially in the shortest format. The left-handed batsman has appeared in 33 T20Is, amassing 448 runs at an average of 29.86, with three half-centuries to his name. He has also contributed with the ball, taking 11 wickets.
Dube’s recent stint in the 2024 T20 World Cup was a testament to his resilience and adaptability. He played every match in the tournament, scoring 133 runs in eight innings. In the final against South Africa, his rapid 27 off 16 balls helped India post a competitive total of 176. The men in blue, led by Rohit Sharma, eventually won by seven runs, lifting their second T20 World Cup trophy and ending an 11-year ICC title drought.
