In recent months, The United States reinforced its presence in Mexico with the inauguration of new consulates in Hermosillo, Guadalajara, Mérida and Nogales, with a total investment of more than US$2000 million.
The new headquarters is located in Mint Avenuebetween the Moneda and Calzada Legaria streetsin the Irrigación neighborhood, Miguel Hidalgo mayor’s office, in the Mexico City. This modern complex will be in a strategic locationclose to the center of the capital, which will facilitate access for visitors and diplomatic staff.

The new embassy occupies a space of 49,000 square metersdistributed in seven floors. The architectural design, by the studios Billie Tsien and David Brody Bondincludes a modern and environmentally responsible structure. The building also incorporates systems for collecting rainwater and underground storage.
