La Liga club plans January raid for Barcelona midfielder suffering from lack of minutes

Pablo Torre has done everything Hansi Flick asked of him this season at FC Barcelona in the few opportunities that have been presented to him.

However, the young midfielder is far from achieving the prominence he would have expected and the only attributable factor is the tough competition in the center of the field.

With players like Pedri, Frenkie de Jong, Gavi, Dani Olmo, Marc Casado and Fermín López ahead of him in the manager’s pecking order, Torre has found it difficult to get minutes this season.

Now, rumors of an exit are beginning to increase and the player cannot be blamed for contemplating the same.

The La Liga team interested

As transmitted by Sports Stadium In a recent update, Getafe are keeping an eye on Torre’s situation and are hoping to take advantage of the winter transfer market opportunity to sign him.

José Bordalás’s men have not enjoyed a great start to the season and are looking to make big changes in the winter to get their campaign back on track.

The signing of Torre, on that front, would be huge for them, bringing them a player with exceptional creative vision, ball skills and goal-scoring ability.

Barcelona are not expected to outright deny the possibility of selling Torre as they are well placed in the position and see that his departure could generate much-needed funds.

After all, the young midfielder’s current market value is five million euros and the Catalans will push for more if they want to part ways with him mid-season. Such a sum would be invaluable to their coffers, especially amid registration problems.

So far this season, the 21-year-old has made seven appearances and four starts for Flick’s side in La Liga and has three goals and one assist to his name.

Despite the interest, Torre, whose minutes have been running out, especially in recent weeks, has no intention of leaving and wants to fight for his position.
