It must be remembered that a year ago Bayern Munich was willing to spend 100 million euros on Araujo, but the player and Barça rejected that option.

However, things have changed now as the defender has spent five months injured, is not a regular starter since his return and will enter the final year of his contract in the summer.

Despite the situation, Barcelona continues to ask for a figure of between 70 and 80 million euros for Araujo, since the club believes that the player wants to leave.

Although neither the defender nor his side have communicated this directly to him, the movements that his representatives are making behind the scenes suggest it.

Arsenal interested

In addition to Juventus, the report claims that Arsenal are also keeping a close eye on Araujo’s situation at Barcelona.

The Gunners, who are competing for the Premier League title, could make an offer in the coming days, which could trigger a bidding war for the defender’s signature.

If Barça were resigned to losing Araujo, it would encourage a possible bidding war to get the highest price for their captain.
