Flick praises Gavi for his great gesture to his Barcelona partner in Victoria in Valencia: “I love him”

The overwhelming victory of Barcelona 7-1 over Valencia on Sunday night brought many positive aspects for the team, marking his return to the path of triumph in the League and achieving one of his best performances of the season.

Fermín López stole the show after having a rare opportunity in the initial eleven, while the team did not miss a step despite the absence of key players such as Pedri, Gavi and Robert Lewandowski in the alignment.

However, it was a particular moment of the match that caught the attention of coach Hansi Flick, who highlighted him in his press conference after the game.

With the party already resolved, the Barca coach intended to give entry to Gavi for the final minutes, but the The Masia Product requested that Pablo Torre be sent instead.

“The situation that impressed me the most was when I talked to Gavi. I wanted to put it the last 15 minutes and told me no, to put Pablo Torre. That is incredible, it’s fantastic. ” said Flick, cited by Sports World.

“You can see how the team and players are connected to each other. It is amazing. As a coach is incredible. I love Gavi. I love that attitude. He wants to play all the games and talk like this in this situation is fantastic, it’s great. ” Flick explained.

Flick accepted Gavi’s request and sent Pablo Torre to play the last minutes replacing Jong’s Frenkie.

Torre had five games without playing in the league and had only seen action in 2025 during the Copa del Rey matches against Ud Barbastro, where he scored a goal and gave two assists, and Real Betis.

Gavi’s gesture towards Torre reflected the strong link between the players in the locker room, and Flick was euphoric, knowing that this type of team unity could lead to great success for Barcelona.
