Australian cricket star David Warner has officially entered the Pakistan Super League Player Draft for season 10. Warner has now become the 23rd international player registered for the 10th edition of the league.
Pakistan Cricket Board posted the news on social media account which read: “ENDING 2024 ON A HIGH. Australian powerhouse David Warner has registered for the PSL Draft.” The draft day news has already started creating a buzz among cricket fans.
Joining Warner in the draft are fellow Australians Usman Khawaja, Matthew Short, Sean Abbott and Alex Carey, along with a host of international players from around the world.
A look at Warner’s impressive career
David Warner is rightly considered a legend in the history of Australian cricket. In Test matches, he has an impressive tally of 8,786 runs in 112 games. In ODIs, Warner has scored 6,932 runs in 161 matches. And let’s not overlook his contributions in T20Is, where he has smashed 3,277 runs in 110 games, including one century and 28 half-centuries.
Warner is currently leading the Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League and is in one of the best conditions seen so far. Recently, he hit 86 off 57 balls for the Melbourne Renegades, with two sixes and 10 boundaries, and was awarded the Player of the Match award.
PSL 10 draft to be held in Gwada
The much-awaited player draft for PSL 10 is scheduled to take place on January 11, 2025 in the picturesque city of Gwadar, Balochistan. Earlier this month, the PCB opened the registration and trade window for foreign players, and the list is shaping up to be stellar.

The draft selection order for the platinum category has already been decided. Lahore Qalandars, the defending champions, get the first pick, followed by Karachi Kings. Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi will pick third and fourth, while Multan Sultans and Islamabad United will complete the order.
