The president of LaLiga and vice president of the RFEF, Javier Tebas, has harshly criticized the Higher Sports Council (CSD) after a recent decision that allowed Barcelona to register Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor.
The Government’s precautionary measure, which facilitated this registration, has provoked strong reactions from Tebas, which has resorted to social networks to share its point of view.
Tebas is not happy with the decision
In a detailed message published on his ‘X’ account, Tebas described the situation as “tragicomedy,” suggesting that this could be the start of a series of updates on the topic.
He expressed concern about several aspects of the decision, starting with what he described as the “unusual speed” of the process.
Chapter 1 of this tragicomedy
Many things are surprising about the recent precautionary measure:
1. Speed of the process: An unusual speed that did not give rise to either LaLiga or the RFEF.
2. Forgetting previous resolutions: Ignoring previous decisions of both the CSD and the…

According to Tebas, the quick decision did not allow LaLiga or the RFEF to present their arguments. He also criticized the measure for allegedly ignoring previous rulings by both the CSD and the judicial authorities.
Furthermore, he noted that the powers of the Monitoring Commission have been ignored, indicating what he believes is a lack of understanding regarding the management of prior approvals and provisional licenses.
Tebas questioned whether there is coordination between the institutions involved in this type of decisions.
“This decision demonstrates a profound lack of knowledge about how prior visas and quasi-definitive licenses are managed.” he wrote.

Tebas also highlighted that the ruling did not refer to the specific regulations of the RFEF that initially prevented the issuance of licenses to these players.
He suggested that this omission might have been deliberate, as the central issue, in his view, was regulatory compliance rather than financial oversight.
“No mention is made at any time of the articles in the RFEF regulations that prevented the granting of licenses to players, which is the key to the issue and not economic control. An intentional forgetfulness?
The president of LaLiga also accused the CSD of contradicting itself “which is included in the reasons for the Sports Law, where the economic control of LaLiga is praised.
“This control, admired worldwide, has been key to saving numerous historic clubs from ruin and achieving a comprehensive competition on and off the field.
“However, the CSD doubts this, once again showing a lack of knowledge of the effects of its decisions (which is not the first time),” he wrote.
