Barcelona will receive a major financial boost today amid Olmo registration problems

Barcelona is preparing for an important day as it continues to face the current challenges related to the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor.

Both summer signings were dropped after Barcelona missed the deadline and officially registered them as part of the salary structure.

Barcelona expects key revenue inflow

However, today could be an important day for Barcelona, as the club expects a significant influx from the sale of VIP tickets to a Saudi fund.

According to COPE, Barça will be able to receive 28 million euros, which is approximately 40% of the total 70 million euros of revenue expected from the new sale.

This should go a long way in helping Barcelona return to the realm of Financial Fair Play established by La Liga, although it is not yet clear if it will be enough to register Olmo and Víctor.

The outlet seems to suggest that both players could register following the new influx. In fact, the club will also be able to sign new players from the transfer market.

When will Olmo be able to leave Barcelona?

Ought Barça face fresh complications in their bid to register Olmo, despite the influx, COPE has given an insight into when exactly Olmo might be available to join other clubs.

In an interesting revelation, it has been reported that Olmo and Víctor will not be free agents until exactly 24 hours before the market ends.

This means that Barcelona has until January 31 to secure an exit, in case things go wrong. However, there is unlikely to be anyone to take him on if other clubs know the Spaniard could be available on a free transfer sooner rather than later.

This is, of course, purely hypothetical and could be a worst-case scenario, as far as Barcelona are concerned. The club, for its part, remains confident in signing the two new signings.
