As things stand, a date for his formal signing and official announcement has yet to be set, but Pedri has committed to Barcelona’s new contract.

This marks another positive step by sporting director Deco and his team, as they work to secure the present and future of the team.

Pedri has been an integral part of Hansi Flick’s side’s good form this season and his impact and influence was on display against Benfica earlier this week, when he helped Barcelona come back from two goals behind to win 5-4.

Once Pedri’s renewal is officially completed, Barca will move to finalize the contract extension of his close friend and fellow midfielder Gavi before focusing on Lamine Yamal.
