As reported by Luis Miguelsanz in SPORT, it has emerged that Barcelona are actively working to extend the contract of their star midfielder, Pedri, and ensure that his new contract is registered as soon as possible.

President Joan Laporta sees Pedri’s renewal as a priority and wants to close the agreement soon, with the aim of securing the midfielder’s services until 2030.
Talks on extending the contract are progressing well and both parties are close to reaching an agreement. The announcement of this renewal is expected to come in January, now that Deco, the club’s sporting director, has returned from his vacation.
