Barcelona gives the green light to the youth player’s loan in Serie A

Earlier this week, reports emerged claiming that Como was interested in signing Barcelona youngster Alex Valle on loan for the second half of the season.

The 20-year-old is already on loan at Celtic and has done very well at Parkhead. But with the Scottish giants looking to re-sign Kieran Tierney, Valle’s situation has changed.

Barcelona gives the green light

Building on those initial reports, MARCA now reports that Barcelona have given the green light for Alex Valle to move to Como on loan.

As such, the The Masia The full-back is now on the verge of securing a loan move to the Serie A club, coached by former Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fàbregas.

The move now depends on Arsenal’s Tierney returning to Celtic, with the Scottish club expected to complete the deal soon.

Barcelona is already aware of this possible evolution and has approved the measure. The club’s sports department supports Valle’s loan to Como, believing that it will create a very favorable environment for the player.

However, the Catalan club has specified that the loan will only last six months, as coach Hansi Flick wants the young left-back to participate in the first team’s pre-season preparation for next campaign.

Last season, Valle impressed during his loan spell at Levante, performing at a high level. This earned him a place in Barcelona’s pre-season squad, where he put in solid performances.

Despite this, both the player and the club decided that it would be better for him to leave on loan to gain more playing time, with Alejandro Balde firmly established as Barcelona’s starting left-back.

Before his loan to Celtic, Valle extended his contract with Barcelona for another year. His current contract now extends until June 2026.
