Barcelona captain prepares for crucial talks with management amid exit links

Ronald Araujo is the talk of the town in Barcelona at the moment, with several reports linking him with a departure from Catalonia.

Juventus are already serious about signing the Uruguayan international, who appears to have fallen behind Pau Cubarsi and Íñigo Martínez in the pecking order.

Araujo himself is interested in finding a new challenge elsewhere, knowing it could be difficult to get regular minutes under Hansi Flick.

To this end, the defender has requested an audience with Flick while he seeks to discuss his future and take a final call.

Araujo will meet next week

According to Diario SPORT, Araujo will get the long-awaited audience with Flick and the rest of the Barcelona board.

This is because the two sides will hold a crucial meeting next week, where the defender’s future and Juventus’ offer will be discussed.

Barcelona, for its part, has a firm stance on not selling the Uruguayan international. However, president Joan Laporta does not want any Barcelona players to be unhappy in Catalonia.

Therefore, Barça will listen to Juventus’ offer if Araujo clarifies that he wants to leave the club.

That said, the Blaugrana are firm in their assessment of Araujo. If the defender wants to leave, Juventus will have to present a formal offer, which has to be a permanent agreement.

Barcelona are unlikely to consider anything less than €55-60 million. In fact, the blaugrana It may even require additional variables in addition to the cash figure.

Barça understands that meeting their demands will not be easy for most European clubs. That is why the club is betting on the sale of Araujo in the summer transfer market.

All eyes will be on tonight’s Super Cup final against Real Madrid, where Araujo’s possible absence could accelerate the process of his departure.
