The young talent from Barcelona makes a permanent change to Independiente with a lucrative clause

Barcelona Forward Lucas “Pocho” Roman you have completed permanent move to independent of Avellaneda on a Free Transfer.

Despite its departure, Barcelona has maintained a player participation in the player by ensuring 30% of any possible future sale of the Argentine striker. This strategic movement ensures that the club can benefit financially if Roman’s market value increases.

Both independent and Barcelona confirmed the agreement on Sunday. However, Roman was ready to wear independent’s red shirt and made appearances in the media at the airport on Saturday night.

Although the official statement of Barcelona highlighted its retention of a percentage of any future sale, Argentina’s reports indicated that Independiente would retain 60% of Roman’s salary rights.

Barcelona is partly control

As part of the agreement, Barcelona has a 30% participation in the Roman Federative Rights, and the player himself is entitled to the remaining 10%.

Roman has signed a contract with Independiente that will keep it in the club until 2027. According to the sources, the club is obliged to consider it if they receive an offer of at least $ 5 million.

Pocho Roman initially joined Barcelona in January 2023 of the Ferro Carril West Club for a rate of € 1.2 million.

His time with the Barcelona reserve team saw mixed results. He scored two goals and provided two assists in 28 games, often leaving the bank.

Among his performances, his prominent moment was scoring during the first leg of the promotion play-off final against Córdoba, which ended in a 1-1 draw. That objective caused the hope of a team that struggled to achieve new heights.

Although his trip with Barcelona did not develop as expected initially, the club’s decision to retain a financial interest in his future suggests confidence in his potential growth as a player.
