The president of Real Madrid had sent a letter to Gavi wishing him a speedy recovery after the injury suffered against Georgia.

“I wanted to thank you for the letter you sent me when I was injured.” Gavi said to the president of Real Madrid, displaying a sporting spirit that transcends rivalries.

The midfielder, who had shone in the semi-final against Athletic with a goal and an assist, once again put in an outstanding performance in the final against Carlo Ancelotti’s team.

The youngster had also been instrumental in Barcelona’s 3-1 victory over Real Madrid in the 2023 Spanish Super Cup, scoring one goal and assisting two, and he repeated the feat last night although he did not score.
