Look: Dani Olmo’s moving gesture to Gavi’s family after his terrifying fall

Barcelona faced a tense moment in his recent match against Alaves when Gavi suffered a serious head injury in the first minutes of the game.

The incident occurred after a large collision with Tomas Conechny, leaving both players lying in the field. The severity of the situation quickly became evident when medical teams rushed to the field.

Conechny’s condition seemed especially worrying, since it required a stretcher to be taken from the field around minute 14.

It was immediately transported to the hospital for additional evaluation. Gavi, although visibly shocked, managed to get out of the field without help, showing a strong desire to continue playing.

However, the club’s medical staff considered it insecure to return, opting to replace it with Fermin López.

Dani Olmo’s gesture

The scene in the stadium was full of restlessness. Montjuic fans anxiously observed, while Gavi’s family, present in the stands, seemed visibly concerned about the condition of the young midfielder.

Recognizing her concern, Dani Olmo, a close friend of Gavi, approached the bank to collect information about her condition. He later transmitted the reassuring news to people close to Gavi, providing some relief in the middle of the tense atmosphere.

Fortunately, Gavi’s injury, although alarming, did not result in any loss of consciousness. He was immediately taken to the hospital for a detailed check, where medical tests fortunately did not reveal serious complications.

After being monitored by doctors, he was discharged and allowed him to return home to rest and recover completely.

The club and fans will undoubtedly feel relieved by the positive result, but Gavi’s injury served as a reminder of physical risks inherent to football.

Barcelona will closely monitor its recovery, hoping that young talent can return to action soon without any persistent effect of the incident.
