Chelsea’s rising star praises Barcelona attacker: ‘He’s so good’

Cole Palmer is quickly becoming one of the England team’s most influential players, having enjoyed rapid growth in recent years.

Currently plying his trade at Chelsea, the former Manchester City youth player has racked up 14 goals and six assists in the Premier League. Needless to say, he is now considered one of England’s best players.

In a recent interaction, Cole Palmer, known for his ‘icy’ shots in front of goal, praised Barcelona’s rising sensation Lamine Yamal.

Cole Palmer on Lamine Yamal

“He is 17 years old. He’s crazy. I didn’t really see him last season, but I did when we faced him in the Euro 2024 final. Just looking at him… He’s crazy, he’s so good. “It’s crazy.” he said (h/t ESPN).

In fact, Yamal was one of the best players at Euro 2024, and his offensive contributions alongside Nico Williams played a key role in helping Spain lift the tournament.

Since then, the Spaniard has done nothing but increase his performance. This season alone, the 17-year-old has racked up nine goals and 12 assists in all competitions.

Yamal’s performances have caused his market price and valuation to skyrocket. The same can be said for Palmer, which has seen similar growth.

Palmer was an important figure for England in their Euro 2024 campaign, helping the Three Lions reach the final before being defeated by Yamal’s Spain 2-1.

The two players have had similar offensive performances this season. However, Yamal is five years younger than the Englishman, which demonstrates the immense potential that the young Spaniard currently has.

Unfortunately, Palmer cannot face Yamal in club football this season as Chelsea are not participating in this season’s Champions League, having finished sixth in the Premier League last season.
