Barcelona progress in Barcelona capturing strong attention in Argentina

Recent Sport reports have revealed that Barcelona striker Lucas “Pocho” Roman, currently lent to Cartagena, could be returning to Argentina, depending on how negotiations develop.

The conversations are still in their early stages, and remains uncertain if the agreement will materialize.

Pocho Roman, despite playing for Cartagena, who is currently fighting at the bottom of the Hypermotion League table, has been one of the few bright points for the club.

The Argentine end has impressed with its performances, managing to score two goals this season and establish itself as a key player for Cartagena.

In Argentina, reports have suggested that Independiente de Avellaneda is in conversations with Barcelona about the possibility of taking Roman to his country of origin.

According to the reports, the measure is driven by Independiente coach, Julio Vaccari, who urgently needs one end to replace Santiago Montiel, who is marginalized by an injury.

The 20 -year -old striker had joined Barcelona of the Argentine Club Railroad Oeste for an € 1.2 million transfer rate as part of the club’s continuous strategy to take advantage of the promising talent in Argentina.

After his arrival at Barça, Roman was sent to Atlético del Barça, but his time did not see him become a key player under coach Rafa Márquez.

As a result, he was lent to Cartagena last summer in the hope that he would earn more experience and improve his performance in a competitive league.

Pocho Roman’s contract with Barcelona extends until 2026, which complicates any possible time to return to Argentina. With the closure of the transfer window soon, the situation remains complicated.

Independent would need to create a solution that satisfies both Barcelona and Cartagena, which makes the transfer quite challenging in the short time available.

If Pocho Roman returns to Argentina or continues its development in Spain, it will depend on how these negotiations evolve in the next few days.
