Barcelona players celebrate big on the plane after winning the Super Cup

Over the weekend, FC Barcelona clinched the Spanish Super Cup with a resounding 5-2 victory over Real Madrid in Jeddah, marking Hansi Flick’s first title as head coach of the Catalan giants.

The victory, against Real Madrid, was celebrated intensely in recent days.

Barcelona players celebrate on the plane

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona’s celebrations were not limited only to the locker room, as the players also celebrated in style on the plane, back to Catalonia.

Initially, the plan was for the team to spend the night in Jeddah, but after a discussion between the captains and Flick, it was decided that the team would return to Barcelona immediately after the match.

Sure enough, Barça’s plane became a vibrant party scene as players, staff and even president Joan Laporta let off some steam.

The atmosphere was electric with the entire team singing and dancing ‘La Conga’, while the Barça anthem played at full blast.

Laporta danced with the players, refreshing some intense weeks for the president of Barcelona.

Furthermore, the chant “Boti, boti, boti, madridista qui no boti”, which means ‘You are a Madridista if you don’t jump’ echoed in the cabin.

This celebration was well deserved after a grueling week in Saudi Arabia, which took its toll on the players.

Flick, however, must now ensure that complacency does not invade the Barcelona camp, knowing that the team has a difficult task against Real Betis on Wednesday.

Fortunately for Barça, they have received a big boost heading into this match, as Betis’ star player Giovani Lo Celso has been ruled out with an injury.
