Barcelona is still open to remain in Montjuic until the end of the season

It was reported yesterday that the Board of Barcelona has scheduled an ordinary meeting this week, where the issue of the potential place for the next Classic It will be discussed for the first time.

At the moment, Barça takes the change in the Classic to a foreign European stadium while working simultaneously in the possibility of returning to Camp Nou.

Barcelona refuses to rule out the continuation of Montjuic

Now, RAC1 has offered a new update on the matter, which suggests that Barcelona has not yet ruled out the possibility of finishing the season in Montjuic.

This is a significant development considering the fact that many points of sale claim that the club has practically ruled out the option to play next Classic and Montjuic.

At the beginning of the year, Barça reached an agreement with the Barcelona City Council, effectively extending the Montjuic stay from March to April.

Now, it seems that the Catalans seek to end the season in Montjuic, perhaps when they realize that the return to Camp Nou this season will be a challenging task.

The club, after all, has been treated with numerous setbacks regarding construction work in Camp Nou. These numerous delays have only added more doubts about the preparation of the stadium for May.

Therefore, renewing the agreement with the City Council once again has become a key objective for the Catalan outfit.

According to the report, a key to reaching an agreement with the authorities will be to obtain the approval of the music promoters, who have programmed multiple concerts in Montjuic.

The Rolling Stones, for example, have scheduled a concert in Montjuic the same weekend as the Classic. Barcelona, therefore, must seek an agreement with the promoters of music if they will continue to use Montjuic until the end of the season.
