Barcelona is considering moving the Clásico vs Real Madrid to an important European stadium

Renovation work on Barcelona’s stadium, Spotify Camp Nou, is still underway, which has caused its return to the pitch to be delayed.

The idea is that the Camp Nou will be ready for the final phase of the season in May, just in time for the second League The Classic of the season against Real Madrid, scheduled for May 11.

Spotify Camp Nou continues to be the main and preferred option for the Classicor, alternatively, try to keep the match at Montjuic. But the second option is complicated due to the concerts planned at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys in May.

The club’s main objective is to play the match at the Camp Nou and reopen it with 60% of its capacity, especially since a match of this type generates between 8 and 10 million euros in income.

However, the alternative is to move the match to a city and stadium attractive to Barcelona fans. In this scenario, the match would be treated as a final, with a massive contingent of travelers blaugrana fans.

At the moment, Barcelona has not yet presented this proposal to either La Liga or Real Madrid. This is mainly because no decision has been made or advanced in this regard.

For now, the blaugrana They are focused on working to play the match at the Camp Nou but are preparing a contingency plan in case things do not go as initially expected.

If Barcelona decides to move the match abroad, both La Liga and the Royal Spanish Football Federation must approve the decision.
