Barcelona fan favorite shares heartfelt reason for special celebration: ‘I dedicated it to…’

Dedicating celebration to Olmo

After the game, Gavi talked about his goal and revealed that he had dedicated it to Dani Olmo. He explained that Olmo, along with Pau Víctor, had obtained the necessary authorization from the CSD to participate in the second half of the season.

Gavi made it clear that he sees Olmo as an important player for the team and had promised to dedicate a goal to him if he scored.

“I have done several celebrations, but one of them was for Dani Olmo. “He knows that it is very important for us and he will be there in the final.” He said quoted by Mundo Deportivo.

Gavi also expressed his joy that both Olmo and Víctor can continue supporting the team and added that their presence is highly valued by the squad.

“I told him before that I was going to do it if he scored and I dedicated it to him. “Both Dani and Pau are players who help us a lot and we are all happy that they can play now.” he added.

About performance

On a personal level, Gavi shared his satisfaction with the victory and stressed that the team’s success is the most important thing.

He acknowledged his fortunate contribution with goals and assists, but stressed that the focus must continue to be on achieving the final victory.

He also stated that he was determined to “get better and better”. Despite some physical discomfort, Gavi explained that it was just a small problem, probably caused by stiffness, but nothing serious that could affect his preparation for Sunday’s game.

“It was pretty stiff, but it’s nothing serious for Sunday.” he pointed out.
