Barcelona are willing to make a €70 million offer for the Liverpool winger this summer

Luis Díaz has long been touted as a player of interest for FC Barcelona, and the Catalans had been monitoring the player even before his move to Liverpool.

There were rumors of a possible move last summer when the blaugrana They were looking for a new leftist, but nothing came of it.

However, facing the summer of 2025, Barcelona is once again looking for a new left winger and the name of the Colombian international is once again on the agenda.

In fact, Díaz is one of the several options that Barça is considering, along with Rafael Leao (AC Milan) and Nico Williams (Athletic Club).

Now, according to Antena 2 in Colombia (h/t SPORT), Barcelona has already informed Liverpool of its intention to make a significant financial offer for Luis Díaz once the current season concludes.

The report indicates that Barça president Joan Laporta is in favor of signing Díaz and is willing to put 70 million euros on the table. This offer is considered more than enough to negotiate with Liverpool the transfer of the Colombian winger.

It is also suggested that the player himself has informed Liverpool that his wish is to leave the Premier League and begin a new stage with Barcelona.

In recent months, tentative negotiations have taken place between Diaz and the Reds regarding a possible contract renewal. However, the positions of both parties are very far apart and it seems that the situation is heading towards a market transaction.

Díaz, who turned 28 earlier this month, has made 27 appearances for Liverpool so far in 2024/25, scoring 12 and assisting three goals. He has a contract with the club until 2027.

It remains to be seen whether Barcelona press ahead with a bid for Diaz come summer or opt for younger alternatives such as Leao or Nico Williams.
